So, I don't normally like to "follow the crowd" when it comes to books, movies, etc. I don't know why - it just bugs me to do what everyone else in the entire universe is doing at the moment. I didn't watch SATC until two years ago and I didn't read the Harry Potter books until last year. (Both of which, were amazing, BTW!) I'm not sure why, but I just don't like to get into all the hype.
Well. I finally caved and went to the library to request to get on the waiting list for stupid Twilight, which I can't stop hearing about. Everyone keeps telling me how good it is, and I don't know why but I decided to join the masses and read it.
The librarian told me that all the copies of Twilight were out (shocker) but that she would put me on the waiting list. She also told me that the author of Twilight just wrote an adult book called The Host. She has read Twilight and The Host and LOVED The Host, even more than Twilight. I ended up getting The Host and am going to start reading it today - I just thought I would let all you Twilight fans know, in case you wanted to pick a copy up :)

If you wanna borrow it I got it, Twilight that is, the first book. I haven't read it yet but I have to read the rest of my Stephen King book and Eat, Pray, Love first so theres plenty of time...Just let me know!
I feel you Jen... I haven't read it yet either, but I did see the movie, which is so against everything I stand for. However, the movie was pretty good so I'm excited for the books as the book is usually better than the movie anyway!
I'm half way through Twilight. I got it at target for 9 dollars. It's good but I will have to read the one you just started let us know how it is.
