Our first born

I got this survey from my blogger buddy LeeAnn, who just announced she's pregnant for baby number two!!! I'm so excited for you and Tony!!

Survey about your First Born-

1. Were you married at the time? Yes. We had been married for less than a year when we found out we were expecting.
2. What were your reactions? Very excited, nervous and surprised. I had only been off of BCPs for one month and didn't expect it to happen so quickly. We felt very, very blessed.
3. How old were you? 28
4. How did you find out you were pregnant? We were headed to Maine for a few days with my inlaws and before we left, I wanted to make sure I wasn't pregnant so I could drink. I didn't feel pregnant, wasn't late for my period and was completely shocked when the little line came up showing that I was pregnant. I was literally shaking, crying and laughing all at once. Matt and I immediately went out and bought two more tests. It was one of the most exciting and unreal nights of our lives.
5. Who did you tell first? Matt and I found out together, then we told Miche a couple weeks later. At the time, she and her fiance lived upstairs from us in our duplex, so I knew I wouldn't be able to keep it from her for long! Shortly after I told her, we told my mom. Both of their reactions were priceless!
6. Did you want to find out the sex? No - Matt and I both wanted it to be a surprise.
7. Did you deliver early or late? I was induced exactly one week before my due date. I delivered her 6 days before my due date.
8. Did you have morning sickness? No, luckily I didn't have any with Acadia
9. What did you crave? I didn't have any cravings
10. Who irritated you the most? I don't know? I don't think anyone really irritated me.
11. What was your first child's sex? Girl
12. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? About 20 pounds
13. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? I had gestational diabetes, so had to check my blood and follow a special diet
14. Where did you give birth? Fletcher Allen
15. How many hours were you in labor? I was in "real" labor for about 12 hours. My contractions started at 4pm and I delivered her at 3:46am
16. Who drove you to the hospital? Matt
17. Who watched? Matt, the doctor and nurses
18. Was it natural or c-section? Natural
19. Did you take medicine to ease the pain? I had an epidural
20. How much did your child weigh? 7lbs 5oz
21. Did your child have any complications? None
22. What did you name him/her? Acadia June
23. How old is your first born today? 20 months old
