I remember Monday

I remember...singing to you all the time during the first few months of your life. I still sing to you, but back then I sang to you all day long. My favorite was singing "You are my sunshine" out of one of your nursery rhyme books.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. I love you so much, each night and day. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. I miss you so much, when you're away. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.

I would sing this to you over and over again with tears streaming down my cheeks. Then I would do the "hard-ugly" cry when the song was over and eventually burst into laughter over how tired and emotional I was!

The other songs I would sing to you were, Hey there, Deliilah by The Plain White T's and I don't know why, but when it got to the part, "oh it's what you do to me, oh it's what you do to me" I would cry.

And I would say I cried the hardest at the song Bubbly. Even after my sister pointed out to me that it's a song about a girl and her boyfriend. LOL! If you listen to the lyrics, it's just the sweetest song and will always, always remind me of you.

Now that I think about it, it seems like I cried a lot during those first few months! Falling in love will do that to a person...
