TFT: Christmas

It's hard to believe that Christmas is a week from today. All the shopping, wrapping, baking, parties and running around will come to an end. I'm sure most people will be relieved, although there might be a few that will be sad it's over.

We will spend the holidays with family, and since everyone is local, we won't have to travel far. We have always spent Christmas Eve with my father's side of the family. My aunts, uncles, cousins and Grandma will be at my Aunt Becky's house this year. We have dinner, play games and open up presents. We always have such a fun time getting together and I look forward to Christmas Eve as much as I do Christmas day. I especially love, love, love getting together with my two aunts. Michelle and I have so much fun with them and I love seeing them around Acadia - it's very cute!!

Normally on Christmas day, we do every other with our families. One year we will spend the day with my family (on my mom's side) and the next year with Matt's family. This year, because we are switching our schedule (we are on the opposite "schedule" as my sister and cousin Kim, so we never see them on the holidays) to be with my cousins and sister, we will be spending time with both families. Christmas morning, Matt, Acadia and I will wake up Christmas morning and open our stockings. Then we will head to my in-laws to have breakfast and open up presents with them. Around noonish, we will head home to put Miss Acadia to bed and when she wakes up, we will go to my mom's house to have dinner, dessert and open up presents with family.

I am more excited about Christmas this year than I have ever been before. Acadia is at an awesome age where she understands opening up presents (she was a little young to open presents last year) and I can't wait to see her face when she sees the toys that will be given to her. She is so expressive now and literally shrieks with delight when she's happy about something. We also can't wait to see her with her cousins. Christmas at my mom's house this year will be so much fun with all the kids running around - seeing Tanner, Makayla, Ella and Acadia play together melts my heart. I am beyond excited that we are finally on the same holiday schedule, so the kids can spend all the holidays together!! That's what Christmas is all about :)

TFT: How will you be spending Christmas?
