It is hard to believe that our little girl is going to be 8 months old on the 6th! Here are some pics of her first "photo shoot" and her last photo shoot. She has definitely changed!
Time for the generic baby-bath-in-the-kitchen-sink pics!! Cadi and I were doing a craft together the other day and I went to wash the paint off her hands and feet in the sink. It occured to me that we have never given her a bath in the sink! Every baby needs at least one bath in the sink! So I stripped her down and grabbed some of her bath toys. She went CRAZY!! It was so cute! She was splashing water everywhere!
We went to Music with Robert and Gigi on Tuesday with our friends Jamie and Cole, and Cadi loved it!! She stared at them the whole time and was clapping her hands and screeching! It was SO cute!
We got about 5 snowflakes the other day, so we took Cadi on her first sled ride! It literally took us longer to bundle her up than it did to take her around the yard!
Although we were only gone for 10 days, here are some of the things Cadi started doing while on our trip:
crawling! It is SO cute - all of a sudden, she just realized that she had the strength and determination to get on her knees and get to where she wanted to go. For about a month now, she's been scooting and trying to crawl with no success. She just decided one day to start crawling!
clapping! This is also super cute. She gets really proud of herself and looks at us with wide eyes and a huge smile on her face. We, of course, shout "Hooray!" and clap along with her. Ahhhh, the things adults do for their children! I'm sure we look pretty silly! lol!
reaching for us. Nothing. Cuter. I think every parent waits for the day their child says daddy/mommy and reaches for you. She started doing this on our vacation and it's just so darn cute! I love that she is able to tell us more and more what she wants - she's been reaching for her bottles now, for a while, she will push the bottle away when she doesn't want it any more, she'll crawl towards a toy she wants, and now she's reaching for us when she wants to be held. She is so awesome!
We went to Stearns Wharfthe first weekend we were in Santa Barbara. The Wharf was super cool with gift shops, ice cream shops, restaurants and an aquarium. Cadi has started becoming increasingly curious about her surroundings and wanting to touch everything, so we thought the aquarium would be a cool thing to do with her.
This beach was 5 minutes from our condo. It was such a beautiful beach! It was pretty cloudy on our first morning in Cali, but we walked along the beach anyway and it was awesome. There is nothing like being on the ocean!
Cadi did SO well on the planes! We had 6 flights total - 3 there and 3 back. On the last flight, she wouldn't drink any milk on the way down, so I think her ears bothered her a bit. Besides that, her ears didn't bother her a bit. The flight attendants were AWESOME! When Cadi started getting fussy, they helped calm her down - they held her, walked with her, one gave her a bag of pretzels to play with (which she loved!). They were so helpful!
