Teddy Bear Tea Party

This is the second year in a row we've gone to the Teddy Bear Tea Party at Gardner's Supply. Just like last year, the girls had a great time!

 

Their fort

Acadia and Emma had been asking if they could build a fort but couldn't figure out how to do it. Daddy took the legs off of our kitchen table and rolled it into their room, set it back up and covered it up with blankets. The girls LOVED it! They slept in their fort two nights in a row :)

 

Palmer's Sugar Shack

Just another reason I love Vermont. Maple syrup season! We met the Duval's at Palmer's for some maple hot dogs, fried dough, donuts and cookies. The kids loved playing outside in the mud, holding the chicken, playing on the play ground and of course - the food!!

"The Day I Got My Fish"

 

The day I got my fish I couldn't wait and when my Dad got back we went to the pet store.

 

Their first pets

"Brown Grandma" asked us if it would be ok to get the girls a goldfish tank and GC to Petco to buy the girls fish. We took them out today to get their fish - they were each allowed to pick one. Acadia named hers Special and Emma named hers Crosby (also the name of her best friend). We all had so much fun picking them up!! Thanks Grandma!

 

Acadia the Magician

Acadia has started doing magic - pulling animals out of her hat. It's amazing to watch! ;)

Matt painted this amazing painting and it took Acadia about 10 minutes to decide that she just had to make one herself to match Daddy's....

 

Nap time

Emma is pretty much done with napping - she might nap once a week or less. But as all you moms know, you know when your child needs a nap. On this day, I told Emma it was nap time and she insisted she didn't. We compromised on "quiet time" in her room and I found this scene 15 minutes later :)

 

My husband

Although a bit personal, I decided to post this for the girls. I am in the process of making my blog into a book and I want the girls to see this someday. To know how much I love their father and how much he loves me. I hope they are lucky enough to find the love that we have found for each other and to find someone that makes them as happy and takes care of each other like we do. I honestly don't know what I did to deserve someone as amazing as Matt.

 

As I was going out of town for the weekend with the girls, I wanted to leave love notes for Matt around the house with just a few of the many, many reasons I love him. I am so blessed to have him as my best friend, husband and father of my children xo
