Sooooo...the day I've been dreading is finally here. Acadia just said she hated something. OMG. Hate and stupid are two words I've been dreading hearing her say.
She was in her room with Emma and she said, No Emma! And I asked what was wrong and she said Emma was in her house (in her room) and she said, And I hate it when she's in my house!
So I told her to come into my room and told her that we never, ever, ever say that word and that she can say that she doesn't like Emma being in her house but she can not use the word hate, ever. And I asked her where she heard that word and she said, Ummmm.....my thumb! Yeah, he told me that word! And held up her thumb....LOL!!
Hmmm...she's covering for someone!

Oh my, her thumb! We have gone through using "hate" in our house recently... I don't like this growing up business!
I hope it wasn't from Cole! Anyway...we talk about never saying that word in our house...both "stupid" and "hate". What I came up with is a "list". They are on the list of words he can't say. Now...as new words come up that he picks up and they are not appropriate...I just say that goes on your "list". Works great for us and reminds everyone around him that those are words we shouldn't say when hears others saying them!
I dread the day I hear those words from my little ones. her thumb excuse gave me a chuckle...
