Acadia and Emma

Matt, Emma and I arrived home from the hospital Wednesday around noon. My mom had watched Acadia overnight and brought her back home after her nap, so we had a couple hours to have lunch and settle in. Being at home made us miss Cadi even more than we did in the hospital and we literally waited in the living room just staring out the window for her and my mom to pull up. Cadi was as excited to see us as we were to see her!

Her reaction to Emma has been better than I could have imagined. She gives her kisses and wants to hold her throughout the day. She'll say "I hold it" when she wants to hold Emma. She tells Emma she's cute and has started calling her the "baby-ah". She's interested in Emma's fingers and toes, her nose and eyes - she points them all out and just stares at them. So cute.

As far as how Acadia has been with us, she's definitely regressed a little. She has started throwing tantrums again, is generally whiny and gets pretty upset when she doesn't get her way. We're trying to just give her as much attention as we can at this point and include her in everything we do with Emma. I've heard this is fairly common and we know that this, too, shall pass.

(I can't seem to find the video of Acadia and Emma meeting for the first time so I posted one from this morning.)

They are just so sweet! I am sure it is a big adjustment having to share the attention but I bet Acadia will do great in a few days. Congrats again!
