Ever since Acadia was 6 months old, Matt calls me on his way home and we wait on the couch looking for daddy. The past month or so, Emma gets SO excited when she sees dada! It doesn't get old :)

Acadia's 3rd b-day party

We had the BEST time at Acadia's birthday party!! Seriously - it was one of my favorite parties of all time. We have such an amazing group of friends and have the best families in the world. The last time I remember being this happy (besides the birth of my girls!) was at my wedding - to have everyone you love most in the world in one room is simply the most amazing feeling ever. We are so, so blessed to be surrounded by the people we are!

Acadia's party started out as a small birthday dinner which was supposed to happen on a Wednesday evening - the day after her birthday. Matt was very sick on her birthday and it turns out he had strep, which we found out on Wednesday morning. So literally while I was at the grocery store getting last minute things, Matt called me from the doctor's office telling me he had tested positive for strep. So, party off!

That weekend (Saturday) we had planned an "Easter Beer Hunt" for our friends - basically an Easter egg hunt only we were going to hide beers - why should kids get all the fun at Easter?! Long story short, we rescheduled the birthday dinner for Sunday and since it would be too much to have two parties in two days, we combined the two and had a huge party on Sunday for Acadia. OMG. So. Much. Fun.

Acadia had a blast with all her friends - there were 16 total!! And about 50 people ended up coming - it was sooo fun! Our girls are so lucky to have such wonderful people in their lives who love them so very much!!

Acadia talked to her cousin T the other day on the phone. She loves him! The conversation was pretty long and she looked just like mommy on the phone - twirling her hair, sitting down, pacing - pretty funny!

Nap time has a whole new meaning when you turn 3. Naps are hit or miss these days - but the other day I found her like this. I'm thinking she got tired playing with her doll house :)

Here are some pics of Easter at my mom's :) I swear, no more pictures of Easter! Acadia had so much fun on the Easter egg hunt my mom set up for her! And dinner was soooo yummy - definitely an awesome Easter!

Happy Easter!

We had the best Easter! Easter is one of those holidays that has always been so-so for me, but since having my girls, it's become one of my favorites! I loved seeing the two of them get so excited this year - I love the ages they're at. Acadia is thrilled with everything and Emma just follows along in Cadi's joy. This year Emma had no idea what was going on, but saw that her big sister was excited and was just beside herself! What an awesome year this Easter was.

We spent the morning looking through their Easter baskets and getting ready for church. We ushered at church then went to Matt's aunt's house for a visit then my mom's house for lunch. It was a great day - more pics will follow!
