Mazza's Harvest Fest

Cadi went to her first harvest fest today!! We can't wait until she is old enough to pick out pumpkins, enjoy apple cider and doughnuts and pet the animals!

Jake's Fall Bash

We went to Jake's Fall Bash last night and had a lot of fun! For those of you who don't know, every year, Jake Carpenter (owner of Burton Snowboards) has all his employees, families, riders, etc. to his house for a huge fall bash. They have pony rides, face painting, a huge bouncy castle, wine, beer, dinner, dessert. It is awesome and SO nice of him to do this.

It was cold! So Ky and Dan let us borrow Max's mittens

Happy to be at Jakes!

These guys ROCK

The Ronner-Bland clan was at Jake's party - they are the coolest family ever!!

Cadi the Lion

I don't know if it was the hat, or what, but Cadi was growling like crazy today! Watch out!

Applesauce city!

Is there anything this kid doesn't like?! She loved the applesauce daddy fed her!! I can't wait to go apple picking next weekend so I can make her some homemade applesauce!

Cadi's new friend

Taggie!! It arrived yesterday and she LOVES it!! I highly recommend these, if you have infants. She absolutely loves chewing on tags on her blankies and this taggie is perfect! It's so soft!

It's official...

We're no longer landlords. We closed today at 2:00 and everything went very smoothly. The new owner, Phil, is really nice and super excited to move in. We opened up the bottle of champagne we had been saving from our honeymoon tonight and toasted to new beginnings!

Cadi is all smiles waiting for the closing to start

The Paradee family celebrates at the Pub after the closing!

J. Hearts M.

"Grow old along with me the best is yet to be."
- Robert Browning -

Carrots galore!

Cadi tried carrots today and loved them! I'm hoping she will be like her daddy and eat anything. So far, she hasn't been a picky eater. Next, we're going to try applesauce, then avocado. It's so much fun trying new things with her. I love seeing her reaction to food! I also went out and bought her a new toy. Every kid needs the stackable rings - I think I even had them when I was little!

Mmmm...carrots are good!

Get that camera out of my face!

Guess what our big girl did last night?!

She slept through the night!!!! We put her down at 9:15 and she slept until 7:20 - later than me! We woke up this morning at 6:30 when Matti's alarm clock went off. And I was like, "What the hell! Why did he set his alarm clock for the middle of the night? Weird." I ask Matti what time it was and he said 6:30. We both kinda looked at each other when we realized she hadn't woken up at all! Of course I ran into her room to make sure she was still breathing! lol! Sure enough, she was sound asleep. How great is that?! It was so nice to get a good night's sleep!

Goodbye Duplex

This Friday we are closing on the sale of our duplex. This is so bittersweet for me. On one hand, it's going to allow us to pay off our car, truck, credit card, etc. But on the other hand, this is where we lived when we got married and found out we were pregnant. It's so sad to see it go for those reasons. We are now starting to build new memories in our new home and I'm really excited for our children to grow up here. But it still makes me a bit sad to say goodbye to our duplex :-(

This is why I love breathable bumpers

I just went to check on Cadi, because she is in the middle of a 2 1/2 hour nap, which is really long for her. I would be so worried about suffication if we had the regular bumpers. I love it that she can press her face up against the railing and I don't have to worry at all. Thank you breathable bumpers!

What will be next??

Look at what our little girl did this morning!! Look at that face! I feel like I just had her, and now she's rolling over, eating solids and SITTING UP!

This shit is bananas!

B-A-N-A-N-A-S! I said this shit is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

That's right! We started Cadi on bananas yesterday and she loves them!! Here are some pictures of her having them for breakfast this morning...

Another good deal!

I almost forgot! We also found this really cute Bundle Me for only $16 at Once Upon a Child n perfect condition. They normally go for $40! These are perfect for the winter time, so we don't have to bundle Cadi up in her snowsuit every time we go anywhere. If only they made them for adults...

Hello, Turtle

We found this at a garage sale today for Cadi for two dollars!! I think these sandboxes are SO cute. The person we bought it from lives on our street, so we chatted with her for a while, and she told us that when her children were really young, she used it as a pool, when they were toddlers, she used it as a sandbox, and when they were older, she used it as a toy box. What good ideas!

Taggie here we come!

We finally ordered Acadia a taggie and I am so excited! She is constantly chewing on the tags of all her blankets, so I'm sure she'll go crazy with her new taggie! We ordered one that looks identical to this one, only it's light and dark blue. I can't wait for it to come in! If you want to order your own, I ordered it from on Etsy from Easy Edge Studios: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=104037&section_id=5131779

Jogger

Acadia is finally big enough to use her jogger, so this is what we have been using during the evenings for our walks. She loves it, because she can see where she's going. With the stroller, she was just facing me, so she couldn't really look out.

Sweet potato madness!

So we started Cadi on big girl food last night! We tried sweet potatoes and they were a huge hit!! She ate the whole jar!

Here she is waiting for her dinner with Daddy

The first couple of spoonfuls...

YUM!!

Sweet potatoes were a big success!!
