Acadia just came into our room to go to the bathroom (we have a bathroom connected to our room) and said, I really wish I had a bathroom attached to MY room! With a big sigh...

First V-Day Party

Acadia had her very first Valentine's Day party at school! I volunteered to read the Valentine's to the students, so it was really fun to be there and help them open their Valentine's/read to them who they were from. There was snack afterwards which the kids loved. Acadia had the BEST time!! And Emma even got a Valentine from Acadia's teacher :)

I love you.

I have never been sky diving.
I have never swam with sharks.
I have no interest in going bungey jumping.
Riding motercycles and roller coasters do nothing for me.

I have never been a thrill seeker.
I have never been an "adrenalin junkie."

And why would I be?

Every time I look into your faces, my heart feels as though it might jump right out of my chest.
Every time you hurt yourself, I feel as though I'm falling into a deep hole and I can feel my heart stop.
When you run into my arms and kiss my lips, my face, grab my cheeks and say, "Mommy!!", like it's the first time you've ever seen me. Like I'm the most beautiful and most important person on the planet.
When you hug each other and kiss each other for absolutely no reason at all.
When Daddy leaves for work and you stare after him, waving and screaming, Bye bye, Dada!! Drive carefully!
When you're sleeping peacefully and I quietly enter your room, just to take one last look at you. Just to be sure you're still there. Just to remind myself that you're actually mine.

Well. That's better than any roller coaster ride I could think of...
