Let's Play a Game

Called "Which one is Cadi?"

First snowfall

We got about 5 snowflakes the other day, so we took Cadi on her first sled ride! It literally took us longer to bundle her up than it did to take her around the yard!

Milestones while in Santa Barbara

Although we were only gone for 10 days, here are some of the things Cadi started doing while on our trip:

  • crawling! It is SO cute - all of a sudden, she just realized that she had the strength and determination to get on her knees and get to where she wanted to go. For about a month now, she's been scooting and trying to crawl with no success. She just decided one day to start crawling!
  • clapping! This is also super cute. She gets really proud of herself and looks at us with wide eyes and a huge smile on her face. We, of course, shout "Hooray!" and clap along with her. Ahhhh, the things adults do for their children! I'm sure we look pretty silly! lol!
  • reaching for us. Nothing. Cuter. I think every parent waits for the day their child says daddy/mommy and reaches for you. She started doing this on our vacation and it's just so darn cute! I love that she is able to tell us more and more what she wants - she's been reaching for her bottles now, for a while, she will push the bottle away when she doesn't want it any more, she'll crawl towards a toy she wants, and now she's reaching for us when she wants to be held. She is so awesome!

Aquarium - Part Two

The Paradee Family

Aquarium - Part One

We went to Stearns Wharf the first weekend we were in Santa Barbara. The Wharf was super cool with gift shops, ice cream shops, restaurants and an aquarium. Cadi has started becoming increasingly curious about her surroundings and wanting to touch everything, so we thought the aquarium would be a cool thing to do with her.

Cadi's run-in with a shark

She was super interested in the shark...

But I think she got a little too close...

Don't worry, though - Cadi wins the baby-shark match!

1st morning on the beach

This beach was 5 minutes from our condo. It was such a beautiful beach! It was pretty cloudy on our first morning in Cali, but we walked along the beach anyway and it was awesome. There is nothing like being on the ocean!

Happy girl!

Fun times in the airport!

Who knew that being in an airport could be so much fun?!

This was a mini-hurricane. It was so cool!

Cadi's first plane ride

Cadi did SO well on the planes! We had 6 flights total - 3 there and 3 back. On the last flight, she wouldn't drink any milk on the way down, so I think her ears bothered her a bit. Besides that, her ears didn't bother her a bit. The flight attendants were AWESOME! When Cadi started getting fussy, they helped calm her down - they held her, walked with her, one gave her a bag of pretzels to play with (which she loved!). They were so helpful!

We're back!

For those of you who don't know, the Paradee family just spent 10 days in California!! We got home on Monday night and woke up to snow on Tuesday morning!! :-( We had an amazing time in Cali - it's a beautiful state! I will post some pics soon.

Back to reality

Well, after a weekend full of adult only activities, it was back to being a mommy! This morning, we went to Family Sing-A-Long day with our friends Jamie and Cole. The kiddos had SO much fun! Cadi loves music and she loved watching the two performers sing and play their instruments.
